About The Alliance Background The Economic Development Alliance of Jefferson County, Arkansas, was created in 1994 as a non-stock, not-for-profit corporation and became operational on January 1, 1995. The Alliance was formed to unify community and economic development efforts in Pine Bluff and Jefferson County. 
The Alliance has two divisions

are affiliates of The Alliance. A separate board of directors governs each of these organizations but all share common quarters and a common staff. The result of unification has been increased efficiency and effectiveness. A board of trustees comprised of proven leaders governs The Alliance. Those currently serving are: Glenn H. Rambin, Chairman; president, Simmons First National Bank Jack A. McNulty, Vice Chairman; attorney at law, Retired Chuck Morgan, Secretary-Treasurer; president and CEO, Pine Bluff National Bank Mac Bellingrath, Ex-officio Director; president, Automatic Vending of Arkansas (AVA) David R. Bridgforth, Ex-officio Director; attorney at law and partner, Ramsey, Bridgforth, Harrelson & Starling, LLP David C. Bush, Ex-officio Director; senior vice president-Credit Card Division, Simmons First National Bank Kayla Cheatwood, Director; president and CEO, ATEAM Temporaries/Snelling Personnel Robert Dill, Ex-officio Director; executive vice president-Marketing, Simmons First National Bank George A. Makris, Jr., Director; president, M.K. Distributors, Inc. Zachary (Zack) Taylor, Ex-Officio Director; attorney at law, Brockman, Norton &Taylor A full-time professional staff manages the day-to-day operations of The Alliance, its divisions and affiliates. Those currently serving as members of the staff are: Lou Ann Nisbett, President and CEO Rhonda G. Dishner, Executive Assistant-Economic Development Suzette Rice, Office Manager Ann G. Williams, Director, Pine Bluff Chamber- Community and Membership Divisions; Executive Director, Leadership Pine Bluff Michelle Rocha, Director, Pine Bluff Chamber- Business and Government Divisions; Director-Special Projects Jennifer Kline, Director, Business Retention and Expansion and Communications Also part of The Alliance staff is Art Norris, consultant for The Bioplex; and Jim Bacon who has worked as a consultant for the Military Affairs Task Force. |
